Which version of Isadora should I use?
Whichever one is most recent. Check the TroikaTronix forum to find out what the latest release is and use that. Mark Coniglio will list it as beta but you should use it anyway.

Do I need the Core Video upgrade and/or Quartz Composer?
No. ITT runs on both Macs and PCs with the standard versions of Isadora/IsadoraCore. None of its functionality is derived via Quartz Composer.

What kind of computer do I need to use ITT?
I programmed and frequently run ITT on my early ’10 MacBook Pro 13, which has a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 4GB of RAM. I have also tested it on a Windows 7 desktop, which has a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 12GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD5870 graphics card. It runs well on either even with lots of other stuff happening in Isadora. If you can run Isadora satisfactorily you can run ITT satisfactorily.

Will Isadora slow down with ITT?
Yes. Any actor is going to slow down Isadora a little bit and ITT has a lot of actors. That said, it isn’t doing much in the way of video processing, mostly a lot of calculating, so it doesn’t slow down by much. All the Shapes actors use some cycles but frame rates tend not to drop by more than a frame or two.

What features are in the works?
I do have a rough roadmap for development but I am not releasing it to the public at this time. I don’t want to get people’s hopes up for features that end up being impossible to produce in Isadora. If you have a question about a specific feature please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Can I modify ITT for my specific applications?
Mostly yes. First let me direct you to the license agreement at the bottom of this page. Assuming your work distribution arrangements conform to the license agreement, you are more then welcome to modify my actors including ITT. As with all user actors, mine are obviously completely open source but mine aren’t commented and may be difficult to follow as they often have several layers of nested user actors. If you can wade through my work, I am always excited to see actors based on my actors. Please keep the ITT license agreement in mind though.
